I’m referring to the potential lull in blog posts. Even on this hump day before the holidays, I don’t have anything major to report. I’ll try to figure out how to schedule posts, but it’s quite likely that I won’t have another post up until after Christmas. While I’m away, I won’t have internet, but I’ll keep writing. Fingers, toes, and wifi crossed. 🙂
It’s almost the middle of December and I’m already planning what I’m working on in February, not to mention the rest of 2014.
Working on Aaralyn’s Song keeps me sane. In fact, aside from collecting new ideas in a file that I refuse to entertain, at the moment, other than for recording purposes, my writing life has been devoted the WIPs and the blogging world.
I’ve got blog hosting duties to prepare for as well as my continuing FRIDAY FORAGE POSTS.
I’m slowly building my revised TBR list to accommodate comp titles for my WIPs. Regardless, when certain things start bogging me down in the real world, it’s nice to escape to the land of make-believe. There are many stories to cheer me up or get all my emotional insides and bounce them around for a spell. I’ve always said how much words have power.
The writing continues. I want to see how many more words I can hammer out before the end of the month.
Does listening to books count? I’ve been listening to Robert McKee‘s Story to keep me on track. More audiobooks to follow as we pull into the final stretch of the month. It’s a great way to multitask because I’m running out of hours in the day to get everything done, ya know?
By yesterday’s count and indicator on my handy-dandy NaNoWriMo widget, I’m at 77% of the 50K word count goal. I plan on writing at least another 20K after that so I think I’m at a good pace with the story. Aside from the previous murder victims, no new bodies have turned up but there’s still time. 🙂
