Although it was in the final stretch of the month that I learned of the news, I was able to get switched to a more appropriate imprint for November’s Entangled Smackdown over at SavvyAuthors. I’ll be writing this novel for NaNoWriMo, as well. That will be the writing in the ‘fresh words department.’
To avoid a writing lull, I’ll take breaks from these writing sessions to work on revisions from my other projects that I wrote last year and during the previous WriMos this year. I haven’t yet decided the order of tackling. I might address that in my Week in Review post.
I’d like to say that I’ll be reading for pure pleasure and edification this month, but the TBR list will have to wait. My own work, writing reference, critiques, and beta reads await my eyeballs. Lots to learn on craft and about my own skills as a writer/reader when I go through the WIPs of fellow scribes. Considering the next thirty days ahead, one out of two isn’t bad, at all. (That’s not to say I won’t enjoy what I read in November. I certainly hope I do!)
Collaborating, congratulating, commiserating. The three C’s will be present in the writing community, both online and off. I really hope to join the NaNo Write-Ins, but there are other options, as well. Forums, tweets, and smoke signals. November and beyond, we’re in this together!
Swamped in my prep for November’s writing challenges, I haven’t been able to contact my relatives yet on the genealogy project. That is still very much a priority and I’ll get on that ASAP. I’m chugging along with my languages: Spanish, French, and German. I see a Eurotrip in my future. 🙂
I’m sure I’ve got so many things to list down under this category. I’m a perpetual student in the School of Life, so I’m learning something new everyday.
