In Focus: 2014 & January Goals

Are We There Yet?

In the writing life, one must learn patience: patience with oneself, with others, with the words. No one said it would be easy.

It’s a brand spanking new year–greetings, gentle readers–and we must give procrastination a swift uppercut. Okay, maybe a gentle nudge. Yeah, that’ll show ’em.

It’s important to map out how to effectively proceed on our journey.

My Writerly Year in Review: The 2013 Edition

A Look Back on the Eve to Look Ahead

Skyline Sunset 1 by jlizaso

We Interrupt This Month to Bring You a Luau

Poi.

Kālua pork.

Grass skirts.

If that doesn’t scream Christmas, I don’t know wha–oh, right.

Well, you make do with what you’ve got, yeah?

Given the literal bone-chilling alternative, complete with snow, I’d gladly trade in a white Christmas for sea spray. (Ugh, that moment when you realize you’ll be returning to said bone-chilling alternative before long.)
